DAY OF DESTRUCTION AT HIT2PASS WAS A HIT!!!!

What a GREAT end to an awesome HIT2PASS season! It was a cold and rainy day, but that didn’t stop the fans from coming to the Day of Destruction! With the nasty weather, only the Hornets and Hit2Pass cars were running.. the track was a grease slicked nightmare with the wetness,and the cars and truck were all over the place..add a few trailers and boats to the mix and it was total mayhem out there. Brian Poppe, pit boss, drove the Penticton Speedway truck for his birthday and ended up driving most of the race with the driver side front tire on the rim, who knew a vehicle can steer so well that way! It was a great end to a fantastic racing season and exciting to see a thankful Carol win the 2010 Dodge Challenger! The main event win goes to Norm Swerdferger #31, second went to #00 Dave Tenborg and Kenny Atwood #2-4 took third! This seasons championship goes too….(drumroll)… Dale Atwood! Driver of the #04 car from Dans Tire! Drop by Dan’s Tire in Kelowna to see the trophy.. Until next year.. happy Hit2Pass dreams and hopefully I can get some really old races up here from the early days of Hit2Pass! Cheers!

SEPTEMBER 25 HIT2PASS HAD SOME GREAT RACING!

September 25 had some great racing all the way around! Even the streetstocks got down and dirty with a little hitting of their own and 5 cars received some healthy damage! HIT2PASS main event started off with 13 cars. There was some great crashes with nothing too serious. Kelly Milroy #70 won the main event, with #31 Norm Swerdferger in second and #04 Dale Atwood, our points leader, came in third! Penticton Speedway held a 50/50 draw for the passenger of the #34 Car from the last race who broke his collarbone in a hit2pass crash, these races can be dangerous if the car isn’t built like a tank, so if you’re going to get on that track, you’re going to be taking your chances and going in at your own risk!
DON’T MISS THE LAST RACE OF THE SEASON ON OCTOBER 30 AT 2PM, IT IS A DAY OF DESTRUCTION! PENTICTON SPEEDWAY WILL ALSO BE DRAWING FOR THE WINNER OF THE 2010 CHALLENGER AND YOU HAVE TO BE THERE TO WIN IT!!!!

BIG HIT2PASS CRASHES!

Saturday night at Penticton Speedway had some pretty big crashes! In the Main Event the #34 car of Greg Olsen got spun out at corner 1 by the #2-4 car and then got immediately t-boned by the #21 car driven by Dano, unfortunately the passenger in #34 sustained injuries serious enough that he had to go to the hospital. Racing went on and the #70 car of Kelly Milroy came in first, #00 Dave Tenborg got second and Dale Atwood #04 came in third.

REDNECK RACING AT ITS BEST!!!

Flaming Cars, Flying Boats, Smashing Trailers, Thrilled Fans at HIT2PASS Eve of Destruction!! Redneck racing at it’s best!
Penticton Speedway Track owner Johnny was out there racing in a big ole dually truck towing a large travel trailer, the trailer came off at corner one to the thrill of the cheering fans and a large piece of it smashed through the fence and into the spectator area, a spectacular crash and thankfully no one was hurt. The crashes lit up the night and the #00 Dave Tenborg managed to keep his trailer intact the longest, even flipping it on it’s side and uprighting it again with some help from the #05 Car. The #04 car of Dale Atwood caught fire to the cheers of the fans! Racing to the finish was the #05 car driven by Al in first, track owner Johnny in second and Dave Tenborg #00 came in third..great races for the last Eve of Destruction of the year!

Some great HIT2PASS racing August 13!!

HIT2PASS races on August 13 were fast and furious as usual! The main event was won by #04 Dale Atwood, his brother Kenny Atwood #2-4 came in second and #34 Greg Olsen came in Third!

SPECTACULAR ROLLOVER AT MOTOPLEX HIT2PASS!!!!

The Rollover #04 Car Dale Atwood

The Motoplex Speedway in Vernon, BC was a big change for the drivers, the track is a 1/2 mile oval..the drivers are used to 1/4 mile oval at Penticton Speedway. On Sunday August 7, 11 cars came to join in the fun and the racing was exciting with a great attendance despite the scorching temperatures! After 3 heat races, the main event towing travel trailers got into gear! After only 2 laps, the #04 car of Dale Atwood got taken out by #70 of Kelly Milroy and rolled onto his side, where he was hit by #34 who couldn’t stop! After a few tense moments he emerged from his car to bow to the cheering crowd! The #32 Snafu delighted in smashing through any leftover trailers on the track before winning the race, with Dave #00 coming in second and #2-4 Ken Atwood in Third.

HIT2PASS DAY OF DISASTER AT THE VERNON MOTOPLEX SPEEDWAY!!!

Hit2pass is going on the road! The HIT2PASS cars are going to the Vernon Motoplex Speedway on August 7th to entertain with a DAY OF DISASTER! The cars will be towing travel trailers and SMASHIN THEM UP!!
Gates open at 1pm, races start at 2pm! $20 Admission

EVE OF DESTRUCTION WAS COMPLETE MAYHEM!!!!

July 23 Eve of Destruction was some of the most exciting, action-packed, fast, thrilling racing I’ve ever seen! Johnny, the Penticton Speedway track owner was out there racing in a truck towing a travel trailer and was he a major target or what! It was fast, furious and the crowd was thrilled at the annihilation of the cars, boats and travel trailers! It was loud, dirty and just downright entertaining redneck racing. Jed in the 33 car from Hedley got the crowd going when he managed to dislodge Johnny’s trailer and the crowd went crazy when Dale #04 smashed through the last trailer standing on the last lap! After all the mayhem was over, Dave #00 came in first, Al driving the #05 car of Darren Thomas came in second, and Greg Olsen #34 came in third! The drivers all did awesome driving and we couldn’t have asked for any better entertainment!

July 9th Hit2Pass saw backwards driving!

July 9th was pretty exciting for the fans at Penticton Speedway, the Main Event Race saw the 2-4 Car driven by Kenny Atwood drive the entire Main Event race backwards! The races were fast and furious, at one point it was all Penticton Cars that were winning and in a split moment that changed and all of a sudden all the Kelowna Cars were winning! In the end Norm Swerferger won first place, Geno driving the 05 Car of Darren Thomas got second and Dale Atwood got third!

The whole scene out at the speedway was pretty crazy this sunny day..earlier races in the Dwarf Class saw one of the cars slam into the wall at high speed injuring the driver.. Then later the Hornets got into some aggressive action and saw 5 of them pile up just past corner 4, pretty exciting for cars that aren’t supposed to hit each other!

Be sure to be there for EVE OF DESTRUCTION! 8:00PM JULY 23! YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS THIS ONE! Recommended to get there early for parking and seating, gates open at 5pm…
